The team at UnitedHealthcare faced a variety of challenges around education and training for brokers in the field. At Bionic Giant, we make it our job to understand our client’s needs. For UHC, we devoted ourselves to learning what it takes to become a successful broker–the process and the pitfalls.
Through in-depth discovery sessions, we learned that brokers were frequently getting asked by their potential clients, “What do companies like me pay for health benefits?” However, in order to get this information, a broker would need to do a large amount of research to get that data, and it might take up to a week or more before the broker could effectively return the information back to the potential client.
Bionic Giant envisioned Companies Like Me— a tool for brokers to close the sales cycle in real-time by leveraging data instantaneously. Powered by the UHC book of business, an anomotized list of companies and their corresponding data were leveraged into a powerful database that would become a highlight of the UHC broker distribution strategy, support services and growth, now into its third iteration.
