Optum Health aspires to improve health outcomes while reducing the total cost of care for their clients. In this case, Optum’s focus was improving health education and care outcomes for their railroad clients, representing the largest rail unions in the country. They sought to improve leads and overall engagement at rail-based tradeshows.
Bionic Giant took two great icons of the American landscape–the railroad and baseball–and combined them into Healthlink Hitter, a captivating mobile-based video game that stopped traffic and engaged visitors.
Players used their own mobile phone as a means to control the bat and swing at the pitches, a strategic decision which also offered the Optum team a means for continued connection with customers after the live event. Throughout the tradeshow, Healthlink Hitter kept a running tally of high scores, awarding one lucky winner the grand prize, bragging rights, and a champion belt.
Healthlink Hitter proved to be an innovative way to meet Optum’s business goals and engage clients, fostering more engagement than ever before and providing opportunities for the Optum sales team to develop more meaningful relationships. In addition to the game, Bionic Giant also created a suite of print pieces and signage to support the live experience.
